Step into History: Lafayette in Buffalo
Join us for an exclusive opportunity to explore a rare collection of historical documents spotlighting the Marquis de Lafayette’s visit to Buffalo 200 years ago. Cynthia Van Ness, Director of Library and Archives at the Buffalo History Museum, and Judi Lopez Moral, AFB member and retired Buffalo Erie County Librarian, will take us on a guided tour of original writings by Lafayette himself, alongside letters, articles, and reflections penned by his contemporaries. Discover the legacy of a revolutionary hero through the eyes of those who knew him — and those who welcomed him to Western New York.
Registration is limited to 36 people, consisting of three groups of 12 people each. This limit is due to the restrictions of the Research Library at the Museum.
