$84 AFB members (registration fee waived), Non-members add $25 semester registration fee

Teacher: Ashley Byczkowski

Description: Practice and improve your French listening and speaking skills through this culturally enriching 4-week course. Each week we will explore a different historical period of France all through its visual art. While Part 1 explored 1789-WWII, Part 2 will go back in time and discuss works of art from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The course is for intermediate to advanced level students and will include presentations on artworks as well as in-class discussions. The course will be taught in French, no prior knowledge of French art is necessary, and no materials are required to be purchased. All classes will be held on Zoom.

About the teacher: Ashley Byczkowski is a Buffalo native and PhD candidate in French Literature at the University at Buffalo. She has taught all levels of French language and literature, as well as a year of English at l’Université de Paris-Diderot. “Let’s come together over fascinating artworks in an even more fascinating language!
