Workshops - Policies
Language Requirements
Workshops are conducted in French or in English and are open to everyone. Some workshops may require a good knowledge of French; some may be accessible to all. The school follows non-discrimination practices with respect to race, creed and nationality.
Teachers
Teachers, native or near native French speakers, are chosen for their French skills and expertise in the field.
Classes
Workshops are held on Saturday.
Tuition
Tuition for workshops ranges from 25 to 60 dollars depending on the content and length of the workshop. Students must register at the latest one week prior to the workshop.
Material
Students will be provided with handouts and any other necessary material.
Cancellation
A minimum of 5 people is required to constitute a workshop. Workshops that do not have sufficient enrollment are subject to cancellation and the entire registration is reimbursed. However, due to our non-for-profit status and obligations to our instructors, if a student withdraws during the week prior to the workshop, no refund can be made.
Registration
Registration is open to all members of the Alliance Française and non-members as well. All you have to do to register for the workshop of your choice is fill out a registration form and mail it with your check. If you need assistance, please contact Marianne Vallet-Sandre at 716 886-0886. Please include your daytime and evening phone number in your message.
Parking at Canisius College
Parking permit will be provided to each participant for Lyons Hall in the back lot. The AFB instructor will provide the parking permit that needs to be placed on the participant’s (car) dashboard.
