High School Merit Certificates

The Merit Certificate of Excellence, alongside with the Excellence Award Program, are programs organized in Buffalo to give recognition to the best high-school students attending French classes in one of the eight counties of Western New York. In the Merit Certificate of Excellence, each year the best high school student in French is nominated by the head French teacher in each of the eight counties of Western New York high school.

The head French teacher fills out the Merit Certificates and Excellence Award Submission Form and sends it to the Alliance Française de Buffalo by May 12, 2010. The Alliance sends the teacher a letter of congratulations, the Certificate of Merit, along with a one year honorary membership to the organization, which includes the bi-monthly bilingual newsletter of the organization Les Nouvelles de l'Alliance to be given to the student.
