Goûter de Noël

Crafts, songs, a contest for the best Bûche de Noël, and of course a visit from Père Noël.

In 2010, the Goûter de Noël and annual Bûche de Noël Competition will be held on Saturday December 11, from 2PM to 4PM

At Butler Library at Buffalo State College, Room 210, in Buffalo

Children 8 and under will enjoy crafts, snacks, songs, a skit and a visit from Père Noël! Please bring a small, wrapped gift (valued under $10) for your own child to open. (It will be delivered by Père Noël!)

For the Bûche de Noël competition, please make a Bûche and bring it to the event. We will award three prizes to the winners, based on originality, looks, and taste. Then, we will all enjoy tasting them!

This event is free and open to all AFB members and their children! We look forward to starting our holiday celebrations with you!

It is also the day on which we will announce our two Win a Trip winners for the Cannes and the Paris condominiums one-week stay!!!!! You will be able to purchase raffle tickets at the last minute!

In 1999, the Alliance Française de Buffalo started organizing a Goûter de Noël, an event geared towards families with young children, with a show organized by the children from the playgroup, crafts around the holidays, a Père Noêl that speaks French and distributes presents. In 2001, a new component geared towards adults, was added on the instigation of Nathalie Guérin: a Bûche de Noël Competition.
